Trellis is the first Identity Agent. We work for you--and only you.

This Privacy Policy is between Trellis Software, Inc. (herein as “Trellis”, “we”, “us” and “our”) and any individual or entity who downloads the Trellis TrustTap app and registers or creates an account to use these Services (“User”).

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines how we collect, use, share and secure your personal data related to use of the TrustTap app including any of its websites, domains, portal, products, services, features, and marketing campaigns provided through the app (herein as “TrustTap” and “Services”).

By downloading TrustTap and creating an account to use our Services, you acknowledge and agree that you have read, understand, and agree to our Terms of Service Agreement and this Privacy Policy as a legally binding contract with Trellis (even if you are using the Services on behalf of a company).

TrustTap acts as a service provider for you. It is important to us that our Services give you control over your personal data, how it is collected, how it is used and with whom you would like to share it with- all securely. TrustTap has no direct control or ownership of the personal information we receive and process. You have complete control to delete, change/ correct, access/port and limit the processing of your personal data.

These Services require us to process, store and transmit data electronically within the United States and outside the United States depending on server locations. Depending on the device you use to access these Services, data may also be stored locally on your devices.

A. Information our Services Collects & How it is Used

1. Registration Information:
When you register to become a User of our Services we will collect your name, email address, phone number and physical address to setup your profile, verify your account, send push notifications, and implement two-factor authentication. This information will be stored by us and associated with your account as long as it is active.

2. Document Uploads:
When you engage in our Services, you may provide certain files and documents to upload where you may initiate sharing with other Users across multiple devices. Information from those documents may be parsed and auto populated into your account profile to facilitate these Services. To provide these Services we are required to store, process, and transmit the files, documents and communications you provided per your directions. Aligned with that process, we will store information such as file size, timestamps of uploads, sharing permissions and usage activity. This information is only stored if your account is active or is required to retain by law.

3. Usage Activity:
When using our Services, we will collect usage activity information. This information includes your activities within your account such as uploading, sharing and consent timestamps and activities and transmissions logs. We use this information to provide and improve these Services. This information will be stored and retained as required by law.

4. Device Information:
When you access our Services from your device, we will collect information from that device such as IP address, browser information, type of device used and identifiers associated with your device. We use this information for identification, push communications, analytic purposes and to detect, identify and resolve any issues with our Service.

5. Other Technologies:
Certain technologies are used to provide these Services to you. We utilize technology to document database records to provide this Service. This information may include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and usage. These technologies are used to operate Service functions that provide records for your account when you choose to share your data with other Users of the Service.

6. Other:
Some features of the Services, may require that we create aggregated, de-identified data from your information by removing, obfuscating, or otherwise anonymizing data components (such as your email address). This may be implemented for email communication purposes between Users.

B. Sharing Information

When you utilize TrustTap, we will not share your information except as indicated below:

1. Information you provide through TrustTap will be shared with authorized third-party service providers to: Provide and maintain these Services, process your requests, communicate to you through email, phone, push notifications or text message, or to direct communications between you and other Users of the Service. We require that third-party service providers are contractually obligated to process and handle User information within the scope of Services offered and with the same security and confidentiality contained within this Privacy Policy.

2. We may share your information, through the Service only if you choose to share your information with other Users of the Service at your discretion, for any purpose. This is in your complete control. If applicable, please review any Privacy Policy associated with any User that you decide to share your information with.

3. We will share your information as required by law in response to legal processes or law enforcement requests.

4. We will share your information to prevent fraud and to protect the safety, property, or legal rights of Users.

5. We will share your information with any person or entity that may acquire all or any part of our business or assets, in connection with any change in control of TrustTap or Trellis.

6. We may also disclose your information for any purpose with your consent.

C. How your Information is Secured

1. Security:
We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your information provided to these Services. You will be required to communicate with us only through an SSL-capable browser. Data will be stored in AWS on behalf of the User. Please do not communicate any information to us through unsecured channels, like when you are in public areas. Where we have provided you or you have chosen a password, access code, or similar security feature, you must keep the password, access code or security feature confidential. Please do not share your password with anyone. If you believe your password or account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at idagent@trellisplatform.com. We are not responsible for the actions of any third parties that may receive this information.

2. User Actions:
These Services allow you to control and secure your information within your account. You will have the ability to access, revise, download, manage and delete all information within your account.

3. Record Retention & Disposal:
When you use these Services, we will retain information you provided for as long as your account is active. If you terminate your account, information you have provided will be deleted and disposed of without notification to you.

D. Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post the updated date at the top of this page. The revised Privacy Policy will be effective immediately when posted on the Services. We encourage users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect your information. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically to learn of any revisions to this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Services after the effectiveness of such revisions will constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of the terms of the revised Privacy Policy. If a change would authorize the use of your information for a new or materially different purpose, then we will send you notification to your account through the Services.
